This Fresh Sugar balm was my latest lip purchase. I returned it about 20 minutes after buying it.
I wanted to like this balm. I really did. I just couldn’t.
There were too many negatives No tint showed up on my lips. My lips are slightly pigmented but tints usually show up quite well. There was no sign of a rose tint. In fact, it looked like I wasn’t wearing anything on my lips. There was no glossy look at all. It also made my lips shrivel. It was really strange No other lip treatment has done that to me. This was not moisturizing in the least. It just laid on my lips.
The smell was pleasant. Nothing great, but not offensive. It was sort of lemony, but not a straight lemon smell. It wasn’t overpowering. Based on other reviews I thought it was going to smell a lot better.
I’m a big fan of the packaging. It’s very study and doesn’t look cheap. I love how the cap screws on. Nothing ruins a good lip products like a cap that cracks or always falls off.
I was expecting so much more from this Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment. It seems like this is so many people’s holy grail lip treatment. Maybe I was expecting too much? But for $22.50 I was expecting the best balm ever. This really fell short.
I don’t recommend it. Not in the least.
